Week beginning Sunday 16th October
Mothers’ Union next afternoon meeting is on Monday 16 October at 2.00pm. This is our much enjoyed afternoon of mincemeat making, so do come along and join in the fun. Don’t forget any ingredients you may have offered to donate!
Prayer Groups We will begin meeting again from Tuesday 17th October at 2, Knightsbridge Close. Over five sessions finishing on November 14th, we will use ‘Our image of God’ as the focus for prayer and contemplation. All welcome. Please see Mary Flitcroft for more details.
Patronal Lunch – This year’s Patronal Lunch will take place on Sunday, November 5th. Please arrive from 12.30, ready for the meal to be served at 1. The cost will be £8 for adults and £4 for children. A list is available at the back of Church to sign up if you wish to attend.
Parish Quiet Day: Saturday 28th October at St Mary’s Convent, Handsworth, on the theme of ‘Saints and Holiness’ led by Sister Brigid. Our PCC has subsidised this event so the only cost is £15 for the full 3-course midday meal. Further details on the ‘Quiet day flyer’. Please book soon by using the sign-up sheet at the back of church or e-mailing John.
Knit & Natter Come and join us on the 2nd and 4th Monday in the month in the DW Lounge 2pm. Bring your own knitting or pick up one of our patterns. If you want to know more ask Sally or Lyndie.
Christmas Market – 11th November 2017: If you are able to help in any way, please do let us know. Notices at the back of church list the stalls so please sign up. There’s also a list of goodies we need for the Christmas Hamper.
Thank you to everyone who provided 1lb jam jars. I shall need more before the Christmas Market so if anyone can provide some please bring them in. I also require sugar and fruit, much appreciated. If anyone is able to make some jam or chutney to sell it would be lovely. Julie Limbert.
CMS Mission Thank you so much. Your generosity in purchasing my embroidered greetings cards has resulted in £131 being raised for CMS. Thanks Jean Burley.
All Souls: Our annual Service of Thanksgiving is on Sunday 29th October at 6.30 pm. As usual we will read out the names of anyone you would like to be remembered. There are sheets at the back of church for those names, please try to write as clearly as possible to help the readers! Please ask John or one of the wardens if you need more information
